A lot of people who claim to be modelling scouts are just people from scam agencies out to seperate you from your money.

If you want to get into modelling you need to go to an agency and speak with them directly. If they ask you for money you should run far, far away. Do some research and find out which agencies are reputable.

its not where you get scouted if your good you will be found if your average theres no point. if your special it will come to you not the other way around.

One of the best places is at auditions for theater shows and movies. Subscribe to a theatrical newspaper. Audition notices all the time. go to the Auditions. You'll learn how people (in same position as you) dress, talk, try to act, sing dance. Doesn't matter if you have talent or not. You want to be seen, right? those are the places to be seen at. You could be anywhere - Gisele was in a food court, Kate Moss was at the airport, Jourdann Dunn was shopping in Primark, Alek Wek was on a tube platform, Louise Pedersen was on vacation in NY, Tyra Banks was on the beach in LA, Claudia Schiffer was at a nightclub, Erin O'Connor was at Clothes Show Live, Gemma Ward was watching a fashion show in a mall, Natalia V was selling flowers in a market, etc

The scouts for my old agency would go anywhere young people were likely to be - sports events, concerts, malls, etc

But you can't wait for someone to find you, You have to take the initiative and either attend open calls (when possible) or send your pictures into agencies in your area.
