I suspect that you've probably never gotten your picture taken by a professional before. Most people look horrible when they have their friend Joe-Bob take a picture with their $10 instamatic or disposable cameras and absolutely zero to negative knowledge of photography.

It will be a whole different story when a pro gets involved. Talk with the photographer at the shoot and see what they are looking for. Don't see the still camera as anything differnet than a video camera.
