If you don’t go now, the agency is going to think you are not taking this seriously. Make a deal with your parents that you will go to this go-see, but if your report card is not good, then you won’t sign with the agency. Agencies are not going to reschedule for a nobody - you work around their schedule, not vice versa. They are doing YOU a favor by seeing you in the first place.

If your parents still don’t agree, you could try calling the agency to say you have a family emergency and need to go out of town and will be back after March 3rd, but there is no guarantee they will reschedule your appointment

Here are your options:

Make a fake report card,present it to your parents…

Tell your parents what an opportunity this is and convince them to let you go…

Wait until March and have a 50 percent chancce of going with the opportunity most likely GONE

Trust Me. If youre dealing with a TOP agency they wont stand for stuff like this, they want simple models to work with who try their best to be there.They dont want to be tied up with a complicated model and her family affairs..
So get this thing worked out if you want your dream to become reality!

You can’t make the model agency wait for YOU, because THEY are doing a favor for your career. Explain to your parents that this is a mandatory thing that needs to be done at the scheduled time. If your report card is not coming anytime soon, have your teachers print out your grade from each class and show your parents.

Don’t lie, it’s not a good idea.

You got some good advice here already. The agency will not wait for you.

In the meantime, read http://www.newmodels.com & http://www.modelingscams.org so you can avoid scams & so you know what to expect from a legitimate agency. Since you are under 18 you will need your parents’ consent in order to sign with an agency, so it would be a good idea if you show them these sites so they know what you are getting into.

In the meantime, always keep your grades up and work hard in school! Do not slack on your homework. It is important for your future. Modeling is not a perfect career and can be over very quickly. All the successful models I know have to juggle doing homework & modeling gigs/castings. Models who are driven to succeed in school & in life make better models than those who don’t. Best of luck!
